  FAQ

How do I enroll and pay for club membership?

Forms are distributed at Slinger, Allenton and Addison Elementary as well as Slinger Middle School..  You can also click the forms link on the home page and print a registration form which will provide dates, times and addresses for submitting registration and paying.

What should my child wear for class?

Fitted or tightly fitting shirts and shorts, wrestling shoes or beginners may wear tennies shoes (must be new and only used for indoor activities) and head gear.

Are your classes insured?

We are a USA wrestling certified club.  We do carry club insurance.

What are your term dates?

Wrestling practice begins in early December for advanced classes and January for intermediate/beginners classes and practices end in March; however if your wrestler qualifies for regionals or state tournaments more wrestling practices are available through April.

Are your coaches qualified?

Yes!  We have several trained and certified coaches.  All of our coaches are prior high school and college wrestlers who are volunteering to coach your children.

Can we still join your classes after the term has started?

Yes, but it is not recommended as wrestling is progressive and missing classes can put you behind and put you at higher risk for injury related to not learning proper technique.  There are reviews of skills learned but often not enough to make a wrestler learn the skill well.

Can parents watch?

It is requested that parents do not stay to watch.  It is important that the children focus and listen to the coaches; often parents are more of a distraction.

What is your ratio of children to coaches?

The ratio varies based on class size; however our goal is 6:1.
